Is trump going to win black voters?-2

During a rally last Friday trump gave a speech about blacks and who they should vote for. He used Hillary Clintons latest speech to give him a example of what he discussed, except he explained what he believed in in an awful way. Washington Post describes trumps recent speech as one of the worst pitches. Trump was trying to persuade the blacks into voting for him but at the same time used a ton of stereotypes as examples. "you live in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. what the hell do you have to lose?" He even explained that the african american community is suffering from voting on the democratic side. This time Trump stated some false accusations, research shows that most of the african american community does not live in poverty nor goes to bad schools! Cant wait to see how this election turns out!

Casper Semenya-2

Casper Semenya an 25 year old, competed in the olympics for 800m and won silver in one minute and 55.28 seconds. She was the first black south african woman to ever win a gold for the 800m in 2009. Ever since she first started competing, there was certain conflicts and complaints that approached. Casper was born with physical characteristics associated with the both men and women, with more testosterone in her than the average women track runner many people complained. She had many test while waiting on the sideline of 2011 such as gender verification test, until she could get the clear to do what she loved. the only way Semenya could race was if she took medicine that lowered her testosterone in 2011. it wasn't until another competitor that had the same problem came to compete. Finally the IAAF agreed to let intersex athletes compete without medication. Now better than ever Casper competes!

Naked trump statue-1

Naked statues of Donald Trump have been showing up around the United States one particular is the statue in Manhattan, New York. Underneath the statue reads a plaque saying "the emperor has no balls" meaning he is not a man and is not powerful. The artist wanted it to be a sign of punishment and embarrassment. Which she did accomplish, it was taken down a few hours after many people could walk by and see it. Ginger, the artist, used 300 pounds of clay and silicone to create this statue and to show of a more constipated look.

Morning Joe-1

Donald Trump has not been able to hold onto some critics thoughts. This morning trump criticized "Morning Joe", calling Mika a "neurotic and not very bright mess" and also telling some secretive news about 2 people on the show. Trump was discouraged about a few things that were said about him, he ended up tweeting all of his thoughts. His behavior has caught many peoples eyes and his patience has been very short.

Moving to Canada-1

Recently with the campaign booming people have been saying that they will move to Canada if the component opposite of their choice gets elected. Many Canadians have been hurt thinking that their country is a last resort. Many articles have been giving tips on steps to Canada such as taking up residence, what you will find, become a citizen, and leave the U.S. behind says an article on CBS news.

No more private prisons-1

The justice department has recently decided to close down private prison because of how unsafe they are. On Huffington Post it explained that private prisons were mostly used for inmates that had fewer then 7.5 years in jail, the jail was able to hold about 22,000 inmates. private jails had more conflicts then public such as cell phones getting confiscated eight times more then average, lockdowns, high number of gangs, and etc. The BOP, Federal Bureau of Prisons, has concluded that private prisons are run very poorly and mostly all have at least one safety or security deficiency.

Olympic swimmers charged-1

recently in Rio during the olympics, a group of 4 olympic swimmers got stopped by a taxi that held impersonating police officers. the swimmers claimed that they were robbed and that the "police" destroyed the bathroom. the security camera provided evidence that proved that the swimmers had lied about what happened. the video proves that they were hustled out of the bathroom and offered the men money. It has been discussed to charge the group with vandalism and false testimony. It is understandable how their police force is worried about such a thing, because it is about americans coming to their country to destroy and lie what is not theirs. it has became a political problem because the problem has came to america and not many people know what to do.

most and least religious states

After reading the article, How religious is your state, it has shown me that the way scientist measure what state is most religious through a survey. many people ended up answering a few questions such as how often do you attend services? do you pray daily? do you believe in god? is religion important to you? Alabama was tied as most religious state with Mississippi and many more states in the south trailed close behind. it is interesting that southern states are more dominant in religion than northern states. i feel like scientist are very interested in knowing this information because it is a choice and many people can choose to believe in whatever they want, and for some reason the south believes in more then the north. i think they thought it was interesting just like i did. 

What I've done!

Recently in AP gov our class has taken a quiz on what kind of political view we have, i ended up getting the next generation left which means that i am very liberal to certain views like "homosexuality, abortion, the environment and the foreign policy", i also took a quiz that told me how much of the current events going on i know of, i score a 8/12. i am very excited for the rest of the year and can't wait to learn more!
