As the United States got closer to Russia, Russia got more skeptic so the U.S rebounded and expanded their spying operations against Russia. the Mobilization involves clandestine CIA operatives, National Security Agency cyberspironage capabilities, satellite systems and other assets. The U.S. believes that we will have many terroist threats and be another war zone. The U.S. claims that it is a "effort to rebuild U.S. intelligence cabalities that had continued to atrophy even as Russia sought to reassert itself as a global power". Right now terrorism is the top concern for the intelligence services because we have been behind my Moscow's aggression towards the annexation of Crimea, the intervention in the war in Syria, and the suspected role towards hacking against the U.S. and Europe. The government fears that Russia is trying to influence the outcome of the presidential race, they are now a priority on the intelligence list. Many people have different opinions on what Putin is figuring out but 2 former U.S. intelligence officials involved in the spying operations claim that "Putin's motivations are consistent and clear-to reclaim his country's standing as a global rival of the United States, to destabilize Western governments that contest that aim and to constantly test how much Moscow can provoke its adversaries before they respond". Thank goodness we are figuring out the problem, but hopefully we can track down those 150 Russian foreign intelligence operations!
